Evaluation vs Funded Account Rules
Rules can change after passing from evaluation to funded or simulated-funded stage. A trader should compare both sets before buying, not only the evaluation rules.
Always verify the current wording on the firm’s official rule page. Small wording differences can materially change risk.
Differences to verify
- Payout eligibility and waiting periods.
- Drawdown reset or trailing behaviour.
- Scaling plans and contract limits.
- Consistency, best-day or minimum trading day rules.
- Any extra funded-stage fees.
How to compare firms
Write down the rule in plain English, then ask: would my normal strategy break this rule during a normal losing day, a normal winning day, or a high-volatility session? If yes, that firm may be a poor fit even if the headline price is attractive.
