Take Profit Trader Review

Take Profit Trader is a futures prop firm built around a Test account, then a simulated PRO account, with possible discretionary upgrade into PRO+ live-market trading. This review is based on copied official Take Profit Trader and help-centre text supplied on 26 May 2026, covering account sizes, test rules, PRO rules, PRO+ rules, withdrawals, payout rails and compliance rules.

Source status: strong manual source set. Account pricing, core test rules, PRO/PRO+ rules and payout/withdrawal rules were copied from official pages. Always verify the live checkout and current rulebook before buying because fees, promotions and trading rules can change.

Quick verdict

Take Profit Trader is worth comparing if you want a futures-focused test with clear account sizes and a PRO account path. The main appeal is day-one PRO withdrawal potential once the buffer is built. The main watch-outs are the 5-day/50% consistency requirement in the Test, EOD trailing drawdown in the Test, intraday trailing drawdown in PRO, prohibited-news restrictions in PRO/PRO+, and strict counter-position/CME-aligned conduct rules.

The 6 core Test rules

RuleWhat it meansKey numbers / risk
1. Hit your profit targetReach the target for the chosen account size.$1,500 / $3,000 / $4,500 / $6,000 / $9,000.
2. Do not exceed maximum position sizeMax open contracts are fixed by account size.3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 minis, or 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 micros.
3. Do not hit EOD maximum trailing drawdownTest drawdown is calculated only at end of trading day, follows the highest EOD balance upward and stops at starting balance. If account drops to the Minimum Account Balance at any time via realized or unrealized losses, it is liquidated.
4. Trade approved products during approved hoursMost futures products on CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX are referenced. Positions cannot be carried into the next trading day.Futures window: 6 PM ET–5 PM ET. TPT auto-closes open positions at 4:55 PM ET.
5. Be consistentMinimum 5 trading days and no single day may exceed 50% of total net profit. If the biggest day is over 50%, the account is not failed, but the required profit goal increases until consistency is below 50%.
6. No counter positionsNo opposite positions in the same or closely related products across accounts under the same beneficial control.Examples include ES/MES, NQ/MNQ and YM/MYM. Violations can trigger liquidation, forfeiture and restrictions.

EOD trailing drawdown in the Test

In Test accounts, the EOD trailing drawdown is calculated at the end of the trading day, not during open trades. The “Minimum Account Balance” follows the highest end-of-day balance upward by the account’s drawdown amount until it reaches the original starting balance, then stops trailing. Even though it is calculated from EOD balances, if the account touches the Minimum Account Balance at any time through realized or unrealized losses, the account is liquidated.

Approved products, hours and holidays

  • Approved exchange groups referenced: CME, CBOT, NYMEX and COMEX.
  • Futures trading window: 6 PM Eastern to 5 PM Eastern.
  • All positions must be closed before the trading day ends; TPT auto-closes open positions at 4:55 PM Eastern.
  • If a product’s market closes before 5 PM Eastern and the trader cannot exit before the deadline, the account can be liquidated.
  • Holiday schedules are the trader’s responsibility; missing a holiday-adjusted close time can result in liquidation.

PRO account rules

  • No automated/bot/algo trading; trades must be manually executed.
  • Avoid limit up / limit down. If a price limit is hit and the trader has not exited, the PRO account is lost.
  • Trade at least one day per calendar week, Sunday–Friday; a traded day requires at least one round trip on a permitted instrument.
  • No counter positions across Test, PRO and PRO+.
  • PRO drawdown is calculated intraday from peak balance, including realized and unrealized gains, and stops once it reaches starting balance.
  • No open positions or open orders one minute before, during and one minute after prohibited news events.

  • Review factors include consistency, risk management, execution patterns and overall trading discipline over time.
  • Setup typically takes 1–3 business days, sometimes longer.

Compliance and conduct rules to know

The copied rule set includes extensive CME-aligned conduct language. Traders should avoid wash trades, spoofing, layering, quote stuffing, pre-arranged/noncompetitive trades, disruptive practices, coordinated activity and self-matching. TPT also references enhanced counter-position monitoring and Self-Match Prevention (SMP) for PRO+ accounts.

Best for

Futures traders who want a clear Test-to-PRO path, understand EOD vs intraday drawdown differences, can comply with strict news/counter-position rules, and value multiple payout rails including Plaid, Wise and PayPal.

Watch-outs

  • Test drawdown is EOD trailing; PRO drawdown is intraday trailing.
  • The Test requires 5 trading days and less-than-50% single-day profit concentration.
  • PRO/PRO+ prohibited-news windows are strict: flat and no open orders one minute before, during and after listed events.
  • No bots, algos or automation.
  • No counter positions across related products/accounts; enforcement can cause liquidation and profit forfeiture.
  • PRO+ is discretionary, not a guaranteed milestone.
  • Withdrawal access depends on buffer, wallet, tax and identity/payment-name matching requirements.
