Economic Calendar for Prop Firm Traders

Information only: This calendar page is for event-risk awareness, not trading advice. Always verify release times with an official calendar and check your prop firm’s news-trading rules before placing trades.

Prop firm traders need to know when volatility can spike. High-impact releases can trigger slippage, daily loss breaches, spread widening, platform restrictions or explicit news-trading rule violations.

High-impact events

CPI, NFP, FOMC, rate decisions and GDP can move indices, FX, bonds and futures sharply. These are the events to check before trading size.

Rule awareness

Some firms ban new trades around news, some allow open trades, and some treat funded accounts differently from evaluations.

Risk planning

Use the calendar with the risk calculator to decide whether a strategy still fits the challenge rules around event risk.

How to use this with a funded account

  • Check event times before the session starts.
  • Read your firm’s specific news rules — do not assume firms treat news the same way.
  • Reduce or avoid trading if your strategy relies on tight stops around high-impact releases.
  • Use the risk calculator to stress-test daily loss and max loss assumptions.
  • Keep screenshots or notes of official rules if trading near major events.

Future upgrade: this can later become an API-fed live economic calendar. For v1, it is a clean event-risk education page designed to support prop firm rule awareness.
